Lives lived with hope, every day, in every way
Hopelands Village aims to provide a holistic residential lifestyle for orphaned and abandoned children in South Africa.
About us
hopelands
Hopelands is an abandoned baby house in Magaliesburg that has been approved by the Department of Health and the Department of Social Development to house 13 babies/toddlers aged 0-3 years of age from all races.
Currently, we have 7 babies/toddlers who reside at the home in Magaliesburg.
Currently, we are an approved NPO rescue home in Magaliesburg for 13 abandoned and vulnerable children aged 0-3 years old. Our heart is to ensure we raise babies to be champions so they can dream again.
Founders
Founders Stephen and Sharon Lamprecht are committed to the vision and mission of Hopelands and endeavour daily to lead the organisation to success.
Stephen has vast social experience and after spending a number of years in the corporate sector became a full-time pastor and enjoyed over 20 years serving in the ministry.
Stephen and Sharon are assembling a strong, strategically relevant team to make Hopelands and the dream a reality.
Our Story
Stephen and Sharon are always inspired by the following Bible verse in James 1:27 (NKJV) Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Passion to care for orphans, abandoned, and vulnerable children began when Co-Founder, Stephen Lamprecht visited Watoto, Uganda in 2004. He was overwhelmed with what he experienced there and over the years this passion kept on growing in his and Sharon’s heart.
