Hopelands celebrates another step forward in working in the community of Magaliesburg.
At the beginning of term 2 we were given space in the building of Magalies River Christian Centre (MRCC) in Magaliesburg to start our Hopelands Homework Centre. The purpose of the centre is to assist the children of the local community in GaMogale with their homework by creating a safe environment where they can come after school and do their homework with assistance from Hopelands.
Thank you to Unitrade Management Services (UMS) who have believed in the Hopelands Village vision from the outset and who support us financially as well. This we believe will be a long-term relationship as UMS believe in supporting orphans, abandoned children and widows. We appreciate and value such friendships and support.
UMS also donated 10 laptop computers to the Hopelands Homework Centre and the children have now been introduced to computer-based tutoring as well.
With such help and assistance, we are working on raising champions of the future through empowering our children with education. This is an outreach effort to make a difference in our community.
